Yea that time is coming... "have you thought what you want for Christmas?"
How the f*** should I know, how much money have you got??? If I answer too big then she just gives me one of those looks, too small and I just being stupid... Last year I got a surprise pressy, a camcorder. Crimbo morning me having just pulled the paper off looking at this expensive bit of kit, that I didn't ask for and don't want. All that I can think of is, how much did this just cost me???
All I really want is some cigars and a nice bottle of whiskey. I know I will end up with chocolate some stupid bit of naff plastic doohickey (*) made in China for the car. Oh yea, and a Clarkson DVD there is always a Clarkson DVD...
(*) sun glasses holder with a slot for a credit card or pound coins holder and wobbly compass... feking wobbly compasses, how many wobbly compasses dose one bloke need in his life?

Lol at Pen tbh I'd rather have a clarkson dvd than the shite ppl buy me, for eg those stupid puzzle things made of wood that no one can seem to do but for some strange reason i manage within minutes, at least the dvd would keep me relatively happy for more than 5 minutes. I totally agree with the feeling of how much did this cost me or selfishly I'll approximate how much they've spent on me in comparison to the small fortune i spend on everyone else They say xmas is a time for giving but for once why dont someone give me something I really want The best xmas present I ever got was my Logitech G15 keyboard and G5 mouse and I only got them cos the wife intercepted my delivery and claimed them as something I'd like for xmas. Maybe based on that theory I should import myself a nice Polish woman or at least a nice new rc helicopter

what IS the age on the game - anyone?
I am assuming its a 16, but maybe 18, little Hue would like to play the game (he is nearly a teenager 13), but I think I may need to check it out, then decide

Not sure where my post about this went... anyhow Far Cry 2 is awesome. The built in bench mark says I'm getting reasonable fps for single player on my old rig..
* Total Frames: 1361, Total Time: 51.02s * Average Framerate: 26.68 * Max. Framerate: 44.46 (Frame:237, 6.66s) * Min. Framerate: 15.11 (Frame:825, 30.27s)
That's on XP x64 so it's DX9, everything "Very High" except anti-aliasing and AntistopicThingEmGigwhateveritscalled.
I have only played the first couple of missions and it feels a little odd. If you were expecting GTA in Africa then your going to be disappointed. Yea you can go anywhere but at least at first, your actions are quite tightly controlled. They move you along with the story line. So your actions are not confined by paths and corridors but it feels a little confined by the way the move the story. Now this could all be because they are holding your hand in the early stages of the game. Time will tell as I play through the game some more.
