OK this is a bit strange cos the game has been out for a while. But any how there is a demo of the new version out and about.

A leaked beta demo for Frontlines: Fuel of War is now available on GH and GamingUSA. The 1.8GB download includes two maps: Oilfield and GNAW. Also, no CDKey validation is needed by players. You may have to uninstall/reinstall the demo when the final version will be released. The final demo should be available next week or so.
Couldn't find anyone to play with yet. I haven't found any show stoppers to speak of. Install went well.
Here are a few things I did notice that you may want to look into, perhaps for future patches:
Misc/controls
No FFoW Icon was installed in the start menu or desktop. Had to find the .exe in the install directory and created my own shortcut. (Vista 64bit) Not the first game I've had to do this with Vista.
Still only recognizes one side mouse button, treats multiple buttons as one (mb 5).
When jumping out of apc or tank, tank continues to move but tracks don't. Looks like vehicle is gliding across the ground.
No joystick support, gonna get reamed for this in the demo
No sights for the pistol
Cross hairs look very arcade'ish.
Need the name of the capture points on the mini map. BF2 had this issue at first as well, glad they fixed it.
Tanks and apc turrets are to slow, speed them up a couple of clicks. They also don't appear to have any sound when moving.
Nades are extremely weak, would also like the ability to cook a nade as well.
Can't turn on PB, figured you left it out for the demo
Like the objective based flag captures
Sound:
Most of the gun sounds seem to come from one sound file that was tweaked to sound slight different depending on the weapon. Need more realistic sounding weapons. Check out CoD4 for a reference (like you guys haven't already).
Humvee type vehicles engine noise sounds painfully computer generated.
Running across dirt, pavement, oil puddles generates the same sound. Also, walking/running sounds are little on the loud side and annoying, could be toned down a little. Walking tone/volume would be good for running. I've worn combat boots in combat, they just don't sound like that in real life.
Love how gun fire and explosion echo off the surroundings.
Video:
Like to see a listing a what effect the different video option have, distortion, particles, mesh detail etc.
Seems to play smooth on medium setting with all post stuff turned off. That might change as more people join a server.
Wish list:
Buddy list
Favorites
Hardcore mode with sites only when you zoom in
Side by side screen of teams like BF2, don't like FFoW tab setup
Hit zones on vehicles for us AT guys. Guide-able AT missiles
That's it for now, will edit list as play some more.
