All the latest FPS's seem to be clones of the same genre ie small map console themed frag fests. If someone would update the original Battlefield with a new engine, graphics and a bit of imagination around breadth of weapons, vehicles, aircraft and MP missions via dedi servers with large and small maps they would make me very happy and a fecking fortune for themselves. What is the problem here Dare I say a less sim-like Arma? More immediately accessible and fun to play on MP. Team vs team, Clan leagues etc etc. I don't know - maybe I just don't grasp what their problem is

From what I have played it's not too different from the MoH of old. There is a lot more blowing up! Explosions everywhere. At least in old MoH you got shot, OK there were nades but they took some skill. Throwing them up the lighthouse and stuff. About the only indiscriminate blowing up in old MoH were mines but then you couldn't put them anywhere you wanted....
So you are much more likely to be killed in this from above, having hell rain down on you from a mortar strike of such like.
Gaddo has the game already cos it's out there a day before us here in the UK.

It's a real shame that they have not release 1943 yet. From all accounts it's a great little game.

I spent on Bad Company and just don't like it. 1943 sounds much more up my street. I am going to pass on MoH unless you guys really change my mind.
