well myself and the little hue one played a good 3 hour session with a few of you tonight, and it was good to play with the lads again I need to sort out little hues TS tho, its a nice looking game with some great looking scenery, I do think there were too many people on the map though, I reckon 4 or five a side would be nice, a bit more tactical and less of a spawn die fragfest Little hue did make a good point to me that he thinks this game will kick start the whole playing together on one game thing ((well at least for us - ), and I think if everyone could try and get into it then it will be a good taster for call of duty - bad odour or whatever its called, which should be a great game for us all to play together well into the new year This game is by no way perfect, but I think if there are enough of us and we can find an empty server and there are enough of us then we can have a fooking hoot, just like the bad/good (delete where applicable) old days if you aint got it and can afford it do it, if not get COD - BO as I reckon we will ALL be playing this very soon the future is bright the future is blood and guts and grey matter coloured over and out for now

its deffo better when played in smaller teams. (but if you want to do that then u would be better off playing BC2 squad modes) and there isnt many of them about. i like this game but its a shame how far the MoH series has fallen behind CoD. and this game may well be forgotten forever in a few short weeks. if you havent got it and dont have BFbc2 then get that on the cheap somewhere and wait for CoD to come out
overall 6/10 nice graphics. but too phucking frustrating when played in the bigger server. and also the guns are a bit W@nk. i still think the bigger maps of BF are the way to go in games

I concur with smoggs on that one
I think we can all agree the game has some good point and some bad points
when we joined that fairly empty server and there were only 11-12 on the game was much much better, however once there was 20+ it just gets fooking mental, and a survival of who has the quickest reflexes, or the best sniping camping spot
I have to say I quickly got frustrated as did most of you lot, and the planned session kinda stuttered
I think smoggie has a very good point, if this game was going to hang around for a while and we did decide to rent a server (which is unlikly), then small teams are the answer to this game
oh I sooo miss the slower paced and more strategy based gameplay of BF2 ;D
oh well never mind, I suppose its all fragfest console based gameplay to please the spotty 'erbert teenageers
I reckon I need to get used to it - lol

With Black Ops we will have the option of running un-ranked server as well as Ranked ones. The Ranked servers will have all of the kill streaks, perks and other arcade like numpty bolloxs. The unranked server we should have the ability to turn off most of the crap. I would suggest we have one of each, at least at first. Once everyone has ranked up we may find that we are not using the Ranked server as much and may be able to drop it. In time mods and custom maps will start to turn up and we can run them on the unranked server.
This flexibility is missing from MoH, all you can do is set the map/mode and the number of players, or lock it. You can not limit the perks unlocks or kill streaks. Black Ops may be less realistic and more silly than MoH but we will have to power to turn the crap off if we want.

I would love to plat a MoH game/session with 8-ish people just to satisfy the curiosity and see if the gameplay is s l o w e r
I dont mind the perks and unlocks, in fact I think it adds a bit of fun to the whole thing, However I do see people going just for those and not capping flags and working as teams, lots of lone wolf stuff etc

without getting our own server for moh how can make sure it only us that will be playing so not so many on the server might make it a bit better

Our own server would make all the difference. The ability to have server rules and to warn and then kick those that did not follow them would cure a lot of the problems with the game. BC2 was OK till we stopped playing in large enough numbers to populate a server of our own. Most nights you are lucky to find three of us on line at any one time. This dose not bode well for future servers and clan games...

hmmmm a catch 22/vicious circle situation
how many are needed to kick a server off? 2? 4? 6?
how much would a server rent cost short term or otherwise?
I know body odour is coming along so maybe we wait, or do we? its a toughie
for my money if there had been a bigger gap between the two games it would have been a no brainer, but the reality is the opposite
the general consensus seems to be that this game will end up being just a stop gap until body odour

My reasons were that it's terribly unbalanced: - Most servers would end up with a bunch of dicks hiding at the back of the map sniping doing bugger all about the objectives.
- Whatever you say, foot soldier v Tank is a ball ache any way you look at it.
- Getting splashed damage, killed by a Carl Gustav makes noob-tubing feel sort of OK. One of the small things that have right in MoH is that Anti-Tank is good against tanks but crap against people.
- Oh yea and the real butt pain with BC2 is all you need is 3 people on one side working together to tip the balance. Now that's great if your one of the three but if your on the other side it's like putting your face in a blender!
- There is a limit to how many time you can get spawn killed before it becomes un-fun. BC2 is particularly good at "un-fun!"
MoH is running a close second place in the Un-Fun stakes, however I am having a lot of fun just using pistol and knife! The feeling you get when you run in behind and few snipers and can stab the lot of them... Last night I got three of them that were camping by their flag, stab! stab! stab! then I got the flag for good measure
