I took the plunge and regret it already. Anyone using PIA vpn had issues with windows 10. As far as windows 10 is concerned I might as well not have a vpn.

I know has a lot of active connections and is some how able to avoid the host file for some of it internal communications. When I was running Windows 10 I didn't have any issue with PIA. Are you using their tool or are you setting it up manually?

It was on auto set up. It appears to be a dns issue which I have resolved. it will help if I get rid of my bt home hub as well.

I swapped out my home hub for an inexpensive TP-Link one. It's on the dd-wrt list of compatible routers so I'll be flashing it in the near future. Then I should be able to set vpn on the router and do some clever stuff with different things using different vpn.
