Should I install Windows 7?
I'm missing playing with you guys, chatting on TS is all good and well but getting sniped by Smoggie or stabbed by Hoggie. Could I miss these??? well yes I do.
My distrust for Microsoft has not softened but by the same token I want to play all of my games not just the ones that run on Linux. I have also recently bought a Steam controller and Steam Link. It's getting these to work that has pushed me over the edge. They "Should" work, but do they? do they feck! I also have this 980 Ti graphics card and all I play are ten year old games with it.
So I think I have talked myself into installing Windows 7 on my gaming rig. Windows 7 has three years of support left. At this point in 2020 I will re-asses what I'm going to do.
I will have to figure out how to afford a copy of Battlefield One but that might take a while. Do I need any special version?

Damn the ISO is downloading slowly. It's nice that MS has an easy way to download a legit ISO image but why so slow?

Grrr... Windows! finding drivers, updates all of that crap you do not have to deal with on Linux. This is going to be painful I know it...

Well it's done, I'm back on Windows after a year away, 12 months of being 100% Linux. I feel a little defeated but being a martyr to my principals was wearing a little thin.
Now let's see if I can talk the wife into letting me spend some money on getting a copy of Battlefield One.
