Now that Sandstorm is out, I gave it another look.
The graphics look so much better and it runs at a decent framerate. Gameplay is much the same, still uber hardcore. Bots are particularly nasty. Death comes real quick given my skill level.
If BFV shits the bed Insurgency Sandstorm still looks like a viable game for us. By the time we get into it again, it will have been completely fixed. If it had been as good as this when we first played it I'm not sure we would have looked at BFV

Yes I agree Pen they have made great inroads to improve the game but it will take a little more work but I do play on here regularly and you can feel the improvements and you can also host your own game now and invite others to join therefore setting you own game config could be interesting as the bots are particularly sneaky and will hide until you either pass them then kill you from behind or they will re-route into another door, all in all the game is progressing well and there is a lot more team play on the servers if you don't play as a team and have a commander etc you will get very dead very quickly

I have a feeling that we will return to it at some point. Battlefield V is better than BF:One but EA/DICE have sort of lost their way a bit with BF. Sales are down, and down a lot. EA shares have fallen as a result of lacklustre BFV sales. Player numbers are down and retention, the numbers of people playing that have bought the game are also down. So fewer people have bought it and the ones that have are not playing it.
Insurgency is still not as good as it should be but give it another six months and I'm sure it will have sorted it's self out. Just in time for us to have become bored with BFV.
