Well it's strange to me... This from the FPSAdmin site. Operation Flashpoint 2 to have cross platform support Seems that Codemasters is trying something different, this time around. They will be supporting cross platform multiplayer via PC and console. The team's plans for multiplayer are almost as ambitious as the gameplay. According to the information given at the demo, players on both PC and console will be able to hook up with up to eight players in co-op mode or fight against up to 32. Even better, players in multiplayer will still sport their loyal teams of NPC squaddies who will take orders, move and shoot independently and, of course, be available for their all-important bullet absorption duties. Should the Operation Flashpoint 2 team be able to pull off their bold multiplayer plans, it's easy to envision massive virtual battles consisting of hundreds of AI and human-controlled soldiers. As Gamesply mentions, lets see if the can pull this off -Source and full article over at Gamespy

I can't see it working as its a general rule of thumb when making a fps for a console that the hit area is actually larger than the target, hence the reason many a time you can kill without even having the crossairs on the target this is because a pad is no where near precise enough compared to a mouse.
so they would have to make a compromise, personally if they make it for the pc the same as console it will ruin the game as you wont need to be very precise to hit the target and if they make it for the console like the pc it will be rock hard as it will be hard for them to hit precisely.
Anway will be interesting to see, I'll talk to BG and ask him how they plan to make the compromise.
