The original Operation Flashpoint was a very important game made by Bohemia Interactive and published by Code-masters. The name, Operation Flashpoint stayed with Code-masters but the game it's self returned to BI. They renamed it ArmA Cold War Assault. BI response to the impending closure of Gamespy has been to move to Steam for server browser functionality. The one chink in this solution was gamers like myself who owned the older games on Disk. This has now been resolved by BI. On a personal note it might have been nice to have been told about this a little earlier before I re-bought all of my BI games again on Steam a few weeks back...

In addition to the free game, Bohemia Interactive today also announced that people who have previously bought a non-Steam version of Arma 2, including the expansions and DLC, are now able to redeem their product on Steam using their original Arma 2 or Arma 2 expansion game’s CD Key (often found inside the box or provided by the reseller via e-mail).
