...near you soon.
I mentioned this before on the old forum but here is some new info.
For those that don't know, Nvidia bought the small company that made the Ageia Physics card.
Since then they have been working on getting the full functions of the separate card to work on their G/Cards.
So what dose this mean to us the gamers?!? Well if you have an nvidia G/Card and it's an 8/9 series you will get the full effect of having the Ageia physics card fitted in your PC. If you have a 9800 then you will be getting it soon. Most of us that have Nvidia are running 8800, we will have to wait a little longer.

I never look at ATi from past experience with one of my friends I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. He has always swore by ATi cards but after watching him time and time over having to patch multiple games in order to get them to work forget it. I just wanna put a card in then install 1 set of drivers and away I go with everything

oops missed your reply at the bottom. overclockers dont have the xxx versions. Best uk price atm is scan but i can import one from the US for about £300 which is a good saving so im contemplating that. All i gotta do first is phone xfx and ensure i get the same warranty on an imported one

Nice move m8, keep a eye on Overclockers.co.uk, these guys know what they are doing. The forum is a fountain of good advice. A couple of guys in the clan have used them and have been happy with the service.
As for ATI I have used them in the past. Given that I'm often trying to get the most out of low cost hardware you can't over look different suppliers. ATI have recently been on the back foot but are coming through now. As they are perceived as the underdogs, they often prove to give you a bigger bang for your buck. Especially as they are now top dog with the worlds most powerful G/Card. 2x4870 with 2Gb of ram. Have a look at my Blog for a review for more info.

I've used overclockers.co.uk for other hardware in the past and yes they do have a pretty good service.
The cost wasn't an issue for me, whats important to me is stability and speed from 1 card not 2 without generating massive heat. As my system is air cooled not water I don't want a card that generates lots of heat hence the reason I never bought a gx2, and mainly being able to play everything without having to patch anything to do so which is where ati fall over.
At the end of the day my theory is this ppl with lower bugets buy AMD & ATi and ppl with larger budgets buy Intel & Nvidia..
Can anyone with an ati card tell me when you load games do they come up with an equivalent slogan to the "Nvidia its the way its meant to be played" slogan? or is that slogan put there by the game writers because its what they think?
